1. High Resolution PDF
Photos: 300 dpi
Line Art: vector art or 600+ dpi
Text: 1200 dpi
2. Collect for Output (QuarkXPress) or Packaged (InDesign) files.
Include: original files, linked images and fonts.
3. Hard Copy Proof
4. All colors should be composite CMYK or PMS spot colors if printing offset. Black text should be 100% black (not RGB or registration).
5. Bleed: 1/8”
6. Minimum of 1/4” margin between the edge of the paper and any text to ensure that nothing gets cut off during trimming.
7. Tri-fold brochure panels should be adjusted for the fold. The panel that folds into the brochure should be approximately 1/8” shorter than the other 2 panels. The other 2 panels should be equal widths. Click here for an InDesign brochure template.
